Giveaway Alert!

Hello everyone!

As you may already know, we started our business to cater to all the bunny-lovers when WholeFoods began selling rabbit meat. What better way to spread awareness than with cute bunny-themed goodies! Since we had basically no startup money, we figured it was time to get crafty! We started off with a rarely used desktop vinyl cutter and sewing machine and set off to make some bunnies! We just needed to learn how to make some awesome stuff!

The internet really is a wonderful place, with resources to help you learn just about everything! Youtube has a plethora of tutorials and walkthroughs to help you pick up a new hobby (or business in my case). Lots of time was spent learning how to make designs in Adobe Illustrator, and even more in learning many different sewing techniques. Adobe Illustrator is a wonderful program for anyone interested in design and sewing can be quite relaxing. Both have helped me so much in bringing my business to life. If you are interested in either, I highly recommend trying them out, there’s nothing to be afraid of! ♥

It’s always good to give back!

Hello Friends!

Even though our initial cause has come to an awesome resolution (good job Whole Foods!), we still strongly believe in animal advocacy. Rabbits are the third most popular companion mammal in the United States, but there is nowhere near as much exposure as abandoned dogs or cats who need our help. Many bunnies are dumped after they outgrow their adorable baby stage and their hormones kick in, often leaving them out on the streets and without the ability to fend for themselves in the wild.

Some shelters will take in rabbits, but often times, there is just no room for them or specialized care. Rabbit exclusive shelters often lack room and funding, and that is something that makes us very sad! This is why we have decided to donate 10% of profits to local rabbit shelters, such as the SLOBuns Rabbit Rescue and B.U.N.S. of Santa Barbara. Shopping with us will not only fill your life with more bunny-goodness, but also fill your heart with happiness! 💜

Meet the Buns: Fluffy Edition

Fluffalufagus aka Fluffy first came into our lives on August 2, 2011. Though we did not know the first thing about taking care of rabbits we jumped in headfirst and took this baby home! We quickly learned that bunnies are not easy-care pets and can be quite temperamental.

We found out that she had been the only survivor of her litter, with the rest of her littermates having been killed by her mother. Fluffy herself was covered in scratches and scars that were barely healing. There was just no way we could leave without her.

Fluffy is nearly all black, but she has a little white mitten on her right paw – her lucky paw! Four years and many scratches later, I still look back on that day I first laid eyes on her and can’t help but thank her for turning me into a crazy bunny lady. Never would I have thought it possible for a bunny to be as intelligent as a dog or capable of eliciting as much love, but I am so glad that she is and has! Here’s to many more years of puppy bun in our lives!
